Sweden's Helen Alfredsson fired eight birdies in a seven-under-par 65 to win the inaugural Grand China Air LPGA ahead of top rookie Yani Tseng.
Alfredsson finished at 12-under-par 204, three strokes clear of Tseng, for her second title of the year after winning the Evian Masters in July.
"It's hard to think too much on a win on a day like this because a lot of things can happen and you really have to focus on the game," the 43-year-old said.
"I saw, I think it was on 12, and I was 11 (under) and I think (Laura) Diaz or (Karen) Stupples was 10 (under).
"But it's good that we don't have that many scoreboards, because you actually concentrate better on the game rather than keeping looking at whatever everybody else is doing."
Alfredsson took the lead after sinking a four-foot birdie on the 10th and managed to hold on despite a bogey at the last.
Tseng secured her 10th top-10 finish of the season, and fifth runner-up place, by recording birdies at the seventh, 10th and 13th holes and one bogey, only her third of the week, on the fifth.
"There are times where I think I was not playing as good as expected, but generally, I had a pretty good round," said Tseng.
"It was fairly windy today and quite a few flags were located at the corner which made the course more difficult compared to yesterday."
Diaz, the first-round leader and playing three groups behind Alfredsson, came close to challenging for the title.
The American reached 11-under-par but fell off the pace with three bogeys between the 14th and 17th and had to settle for third at eight under.
