We caught up with Sussex wicket-keeper Andy Hodd, who has returned home from India where he played in the inaugural Champions League, to discover why he is a fan of O-Zone and Optimus Prime.
Who is your sporting hero?
My dad, without any doubt whatsoever.
If you were not a cricketer, what would you be doing?
I would very much like to say a singer and/or a guitarist, but the only thing holding me back would be the fact that I cannot sing and I cannot play the guitar. But apart from that...
If your house was burning down, what possession would you save?
Nashy! I have the dubious pleasure of living with my team-mate Chris Nash, so I would have to reluctantly drag him out of the flames I guess. I would have to make him sweat a bit though!
What is currently playing on your car stereo?
I am just a music badger! I usually just download the iTunes top 10 songs for every day and enjoy what they have for me on that particular occasion.
What is your most embarrassing moment on a cricket field?
There are far too many to count. I am not joking; I have so many they are not even embarrassing anymore!
Who is your ideal woman apart from the missus?
Megan Fox. She is mighty fine.
If you could have dinner with three people (non relatives), who would they be?
Well the relatives would not come into it anyway! Megan Fox, for one very obvious reason; David Hussey, because he would provide some terrific banter and is always worth a giggle; and Frankie Boyle because he cracks me up.
If you could be anyone else for a day, who would it be?
Optimus Prime: he is an absolute hero.
What would be the alternative title to your second autobiography?
Well the lads know me for being small, so it would certainly be 'Andy Hodd: A Very Short Read'.
What is your most annoying habit which gets on other people's nerves?
There are so many bad and annoying habits that I have, but the one which probably winds other people up the most is when I cannot stop biting my nails. It always gets picked up on when I am sat on the balcony or wherever.
What is the worst album you have bought?
That could be pretty much anything in my collection: it is a bag of odd jobs! The worst album I have ever bought would probably be something by O-Zone. Classic!
What would the lads in the dressing room expect you to end up advertising?
If I could advertise something fitting for me, it would probably be the Baby Gap summer collection. That would be fitting in every sense! I would have thought that would be right on the money.
