Ipswich winger Luciano Civelli is confident of returning to fitness before Christmas.

The Argentinian winger has been sidelined since injuring his knee in March but returned to light training this week ahead of a possible comeback.

He told the club`s official website: "I am getting there but I know there is still a lot more work to do.

"The injury was very hard to take at first but you get a lift each time you get to the next stage and hopefully I can move on again.

"The surgeon said I would be out for maybe nine months which is around Christmas time but I hope to be back before then."
