Fulham midfielder Simon Davies is ready for the competition for places at Craven Cottage when he returns from his foot injury.
The Wales international has not played for a month but has been edging towards a return.
He said: "I think competition for places is a good thing.
"Look at all the good teams and you will find competition in every position, it makes players work for their shirt."
