Rochdale captain Gary Jones could be in line for a return to action for the top of the table clash with Bournmouth on Saturday.
The midfielder aggravated a hamstring strain earlier this month which forced him to miss the defeat against Accrington Stanley.
He told the club's website: "When we played Grimsby I really felt it and knew I had no option but to come off. I've had some rest and treatment and I'm back in for training with the lads on Tuesday.
"I am hoping I'll be fit and available for selection on Saturday, we will just have to see how this week goes. I feel okay and the hamstring isn't causing me any concern after going through a tough test on Monday.
"I need to train on it this week and see how things go but I'm quietly confident I'll be ready for selection."
