Reading boss Brendan Rodgers is set to move for a loan striker after seeing his side miss a host of chances against Leicester.
Rodgers saw his side carve open the Foxes on numerous occasions but Simon Church and Grzegorz Rasiak were unable to provide a finishing touch in a 1-0 defeat.
"You don't need to be a rocket scientist to see that we are lacking something at the top of the pitch," he said.
"We lost a lot of players in the summer and I have given everyone here a chance but we are where we are. The only thing missing is the end product.
"Loan signings remain an option and that is something I will have to look at."

I was going to start my usual moan and groan about the state of Reading but I can't be bothered, it is a waste of time as Reading is going down into Div 1 for next season. But no matter where they land up I will still support them, they are still my number one team, I have watched them down at the bottom of the old Div 4 and gradually climb right up to the top into the Premiership, which I never ever thought I would see, now they are on their way down again, one thing you can say about Reading they are never static, they go up and down like a yoyo, Never mind I still love them. Maybe I will live long enough to see them back up in the Premiership again. My dear old Mum & Dad followed all their lives and never lived to see them in the Premiership, Mum did see them go up into the old Div 2. They have never been a big team as the likes of the four or five top teams, but I have seen them play some lovely football at times, they did win the Symond cup in 1988, beating Luton 4 - 2 up at the old Wembley Stadium, they have been league champions of most of the divisions, they do hold the record of scoring the most points by winning the Championship League and then going up into the Premiership. O'kay they have hit a bad patch but they will bounce back. Come on URZzzzzzz
Grzegorz Rasiak is a waste of space Mcnauf ??? Reading Fans are starting to see why we 'orns fans think he is a joke .... Please get rid of Brenda ..... and his little band of followers .. including Lampard Sen.... who I worry about ..... lol .... Reading are a great little club, but no bigger than Watford ... (I remember Elm Park lol ) Get rid .... or he will send you down ...
I bet the Vicarage Road Board are pleased that he went to Reading now that Malky is doing such a good job for the Hornets
