Welcome respite for Cherries

Bournemouth assistant manager Jason Tindall has backed his side to take advantage of a rare Tuesday off by beating Rochdale this Saturday.

The Cherries remain top of League Two despite having a small squad, and Tindall believes the extra rest this week could pay dividends.

He said: "It makes a difference for us not having a midweek match as we don`t have a big squad.

"When you play on a Saturday and Tuesday, it takes a lot out of you physically and as we are not the best placed geographically, away games take more out of us because of the travelling.

"It`s now important we keep focused and concentrate on the Rochdale game.

"It`s important that we get something from that game as after that we have three long trips on consecutive Saturdays which is not ideal."
