MK Dons defender Dean Lewington is hopeful a break from action can help the League Two leaders recover from their defeat at the weekend. The Dons are in the middle of a 10-day break before they travel to Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday and Lewington believes the rest will help them recover from the 2-1 defeat to Chesterfield on Saturday.
He said: "Hopefully it will help us having a bit of a break.
"We've played a lot of games recently but we can't use that as an excuse for Saturday - that was just a bad performance.
"Perhaps a couple of days off will help a few tired legs, we can get a few of the boys back from injury and move on from there."
