Dutch legend Arie Haan has declared his interest in becoming Republic of Ireland manager.
The FAI are looking to appoint Steve Staunton's successor before the home friendly with Brazil in February and the likes of Terry Venables have been linked with the role.
But Haan, a five-time European Cup winner, has now thrown his hat into the ring.
In a statement issued via his agent Mark Mullan, he said: "The Irish team has some talented players such as Robbie Keane and Stephen Ireland and the lads have a great fighting spirit which I always admired when playing against them.
"The team has great potential and I'd love to get involved."
Since retiring as a player in 1984, Haan has coached at both club and national level, with China and Cameroon his international teams.
