Bas Savage's Brighton career looks to be at an end after he turned down the club's latest contract offer - much to the dismay of Dean Wilkins. The big striker, a popular figure on the south coast, is out of contract at the turn of the year and threw his shirt into the crowd after Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Millwall.
"It looks like he has refused our offer so he'll be moving on," said Wilkins.
"It's going to be a blow but we have to make sure we move on and that whoever comes in does an equal, if not better, job.
"It's disappointing but he's been made a good offer and I believe his agent feels he should be our player still. But the decision has been made and now we have to move on."
On-loan midfielders David Martot and George O'Callaghan are also due to leave Brighton and Wilkins admitted: "Things are a little bit up in the air but hopefully they will be resolved over the next seven days."
