Southend manager Steve Tilson was left to rue his side's profligacy for the second game running after the 1-1 draw at Gillingham.Fresh from Saturday's 1-0 home defeat against Oldham, the Shrimpers took the lead at Priestfield through Peter Clarke but Adam Miller's cross-cum-shot a minute from time levelled the scores.
"We should have won by four or five but when you don't take your chances then you know you are going to get punished," said Tilson.
"At 1-0 they were always going to get at least one chance but the goal they got wasn't even a shot - it was a cross.
"It's a really disappointing result - we should have come away with six points from the last two games and we've only got one.
"We dominated the game completely and played really well - it feels like a defeat because we should have won."
