Huckerby unlikely to face Saints

Mon 28 Jan, 02:45 PM

Norwich manager Glenn Roeder is set to again be without forward Darren Huckerby for Tuesday's Championship trip to Southampton.Huckerby missed the 0-0 draw with Leicester last time out after his long-standing hip problem flared up again and has since had an injection on the injury from a specialist. He is back in training but is not expected to be rushed back to face the managerless Saints.

The Canaries have been out of action since the Foxes stalemate 10 days ago so veteran Dion Dublin should be ready to continue his partnership in attack with on-loan Manchester City youngster Ched Evans.

Roeder is still hopeful of adding to his squad ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline and has not ruled out having a new face in his squad before kick-off at St Mary's.

Long-term casualties Adam Drury (knee) and Luke Chadwick (shoulder) remain sidelined.
