Murdock missing for Bantams clash

Mon 28 Jan, 10:00 PM

Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters will be without experienced defender Colin Murdock when he takes his side to Bradford on Tuesday night.Murdock was sent off in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Grimsby and serves a one-match ban, paving the way for Darran Kempson to start after he came off the bench to fill the void left by the veteran's dismissal at Blundell Park.

Fit-again forward Dave Hibbert also came on as a replacement in that game and will hope to have staked a successful claim for a starting berth.

Striker Andy Cooke has returned to training after suffering a tight thigh in action for the reserves and could earn a place in the squad should he prove his fitness.

Third-choice goalkeeper Chris MacKenzie will also add to the competition for places after he overcame a back problem.
