Sissoko's Juve Switch Imminent

Mon 28 Jan, 03:12 PM

Mohamed Sissoko is expected to complete his move from Liverpool to Juventus on Monday.

Sissoko, who is away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, is keen to leave Anfield after making just six Premier League starts this season.

Reports in Italy that the midfielder arrived in Turin on Sunday, where he will undergo a medical before being officially unveiled on Monday in a deal worth 11million euros (£8.2million).

It is reported that the 23-year-old will pen a contract at the Stadio Delle Alpi until 2012.

Meanwhile, former Birmingham target Guglielmo Stendardo has joined Juventus from Lazio on loan until the end of the season.

Stendardo's loan move is expected to seal Jean-Alain Boumsong's transfer to Lyon, after Juventus had previously refused to complete the transfer due to an injury crisis in defence.
