Bournemouth have confirmed their players have agreed to defer 50% of their wages to help ease the club's immediate financial worries.The cash-strapped League One side, who are reported to be around £4million in debt, entered into administration earlier this month, with former Leeds chairman Gerald Krasner appointed to run the club.
A club spokesman confirmed an agreement has been struck between the club and players which will see them defer half of their pay-packet until the Cherries' financial plight eases.
He said: "What the players have done is defer their wages by 50% to help the club through administration."
The club are currently 23rd in the league, 12 points adrift of safety, after receiving an automatic 10-point deduction for going into administration.
