Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore believes the imminent return of Chris Shuker and Steve Davies will be like signing two new players.Left-winger Davies was expected to miss the remainder of the campaign with a cruciate ligament injury but Rovers are now hopeful that he will return next month.

Fellow wideman Shuker is expected to return in three weeks' time after a knee injury.

Moore said: "Chris Shuker is down for the Hartlepool game (March 15) with a bit of luck and then hopefully we can get Davies back for the start of April.

"It sets us up well for the play-offs as it's like having two new players."
