Defender Garry Richards insists that there is still a "long journey" ahead for Gillingham to avoid relegation from League One this season.Richards, who arrived from Southend in January, made his home debut as part of a three-man defence in the 1-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday.
It was the Gills' first win in eight games and lifted them out of the bottom four, but the 21-year-old is aware of the task ahead.
He told the club's official website: "We'll just take each game as it comes.
"We'll go into every game feeling confident that we can get the three points but we know it is still a long journey and there are a lot of points still to play for.
"We're just trying to get as many points as possible on the board to use that as a platform."
