Oldham boss John Sheridan believes on-loan Sheffield United striker Jordan Robertson will prove a big hit with the League One club.The 20-year-old joined the Latics shortly before Tuesday's 2-2 draw against Swindon and appeared as a substitute for the final 17 minutes.

Robertson has agreed a month-long emergency loan deal at Boundary Park and is in contention for a starting spot at Port Vale this weekend.

"It was difficult for Jordan when he came on because he's only just arrived, but he's got a lovely touch and awareness and he'll do well for us," said Sheridan.

"We'll look after him while he's here and hopefully he will contribute a few goals."
