Port Vale boss Lee Sinnott has called on his side to "wash away" the memories of last weekend's defeat at Millwall against Oldham on Saturday.The rock-bottom Valiants, now eight games without a win, were humbled 3-0 at the New Den and put in a performance which drew heavy criticism from their manager.

However, he is confident they can avoid a repeat display against the Latics and restore some pride.

He told the club's official website: "We have had a good week of training and the players will go again, that's credit to them.

"It's important we wash last week's performance out of our systems."
