Paris St Germain put their Ligue 1 worries aside to beat Auxerre 3-2 and advance to the Coupe de la Ligue final.

PSG, fifth from bottom in the Ligue 1 standings, showed more initiative than their visitors before the break and were 2-0 up at halftime courtesy of headed goals by Colombia defender Mario Yepes and former Portugal striker Pauleta.

A blunder from Paris goalkeeper Mickael Landreau, who slapped the ball under the bar and into his own net, restored Auxerre's hopes in the 74th minute.

The home side reacted swiftly, however, defender Bernard Mendy racing into the box to put them further ahead five minutes later.

Auxerre kept fighting and reduced the arrears in added time with an acrobatic volley from substitute forward Julien Quercia.
