Germany's Magdalena Neuner beat Frenchwoman Sandrine Bailly to win the Pyeong Chang sprint despite missing two shots.
The recently crowned mass start world champion missed two shots at the second range, but was able to claim victory in 20 minutes and 32.1 seconds thanks to another blazing performance on the skis.
Bailly, the 2005 World Cup champion, stepped up her battle for this year's title with an impressive skiing performance of her own to finish 14.3 seconds behind Neuner after missing one shot at the opening range.
Italy's Michela Ponza rounded out the podium with a perfect shoot after finishing eight seconds behind Bailly.
Overall World Cup leader Andrea Henkel finished 17th after a disappointing day at the range with three missed shots.
