Premier League - Klinsmann dismisses City move

Bayern Munich coach Jurgen Klinsmann says he is "flattered" to be linked with a move to Manchester City, but remains focused on his job with the German champions.

A report in the Daily Mail claimed Klinsmann is a target of City to take over from current boss Mark Hughes.

Hughes is under pressure as City have so far failed to live up to the raised expectations at the club after new cash-rich owners, the Abu Dhabi United Group, took control in the summer.

City have distanced themselves from claims they had approached Klinsmann about taking charge at the club while the German's comments now serve to further dampen talk he may be on his way to Eastlands.

"I have a fascinating job here and the ambition to stand at the end of the season in the Marienplatz (where titles are celebrated in Munich)," he told the Bild newspaper.

"I tell my players like Franck Ribery, for example, that it is flattering for the club and the player when they are linked to other clubs.

"That is the same for the coach, but it is nothing more than that."

Klinsmann had come under fire recently with two defeats in the past three Bundesliga games leaving Bayern four points off the pace at the top of the Bundesliga.

However, a 5-0 win at Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League this week has eased the pressure a little ahead of today's clash at Werder Bremen.

And although Klinsmann admits there is "a hell of a lot of hard work ahead", he remains "confident that Bayern can win something" this season.

Its been great while you were away. Non of your infantile, stupid "humour".

When your balls drop, and you become a man, maybe you`ll be able to post something worthwhile.

It was noted that you were absent after City beat FC Copenhagen.

In the mean time, get back to your playstation @#$%.
