Bjoergen wins third world title

Triple-Olympic champion Marit Bjoergen can now call herself a triple-world champion after claiming 10km classic sprint gold at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo.
The 30-year-old has already enjoyed a great week on home soil after tasting victory in the sprint and 15km pursuit races.
And she was at it again over 10km as she got the better of Poland’s Justyna Kowalczyk with a winning time 27:39.3 minutes.
Bjoergen’s time was 4.1 seconds better than Kowalczyk who settled for silver, while Finland’s Aino Kaisa Saarinen took bronze in 27:49.0 minutes.
It was a strong showing from Finland as they also had fifth, sixth and eighth-place finishes and proved they are one to watch in the relay event.
Elsewhere, Rosamund Musgrave was the highest British finisher, posting a time of 34:17.3 minutes to end 60th, while Sarah Young was 66th†in 36:59.4 minutes.
