Roma star David Pizarro is expected to be back in action next week after his knee injury turned out to be less serious than feared.

The midfielder was stretchered off during Roma's 2-2 draw with Parma at the weekend, with the club initially fearing that they could lose the Chilean for a long stretch.

But a scan on Monday revealed that he had suffered only a minor injury, and should be back on his feet in time to face Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League last-16 second leg on March 8.
