Gnakpa misses out against Imps

Fri 28 Mar, 02:45 PM

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson will be without the services of defender Claude Gnakpa for the clash with Lincoln at London Road.Gnakpa was booked for the 10th time this season in the 1-1 draw at MK Dons last week and begins a two-match suspension, so Adam Newton should return at right-back.

Elsewhere, Ferguson will be hoping Scott Rendell can open his account for the club to alleviate his goalscoring problems.

Rendell will start alongside top scorer Aaron Mclean as Craig Mackail-Smith and Liam Hatch remain sidelined. Mackail-Smith suffered a hamstring and sciatica problem against the Dons and could be out for several weeks while Hatch has a back injury.

Defender Shane Blackett is out after he sustained another knee injury, while Kieran Charnock is back in training from his knee injury but is not fit enough to be considered.

With MK Dons involved in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley, Ferguson's men can move three points clear at the top with a win.
