Fri 28 Mar, 06:00 PM

Oldham defender Sean Gregan could make his long-awaited return to action when the Latics entertain Huddersfield at Boundary Park on Saturday.Gregan, who turns 34 on Saturday, has not featured for the Latics since last October due to an Achilles injury.

However, he has played three reserve games and boss John Sheridan admitted the former Leeds centre-back is edging closer to full fitness again.

Goalkeeper Mark Crossley is rated as only a 50-50 chance to recover from a groin problem and could again miss out.

On-loan Sheffield Wednesday shot-stopper Richard O'Donnell will again be asked to deputise should veteran Crossley fail to recover.

Meanwhile, midfielder Gary McDonald (groin) and rookie striker Matt Wolfenden (hamstring) are also rated as doubtful to face the Terriers.
