Preston boss Alan Irvine has warned his in-form side that their survival prospects "can change very quickly" with a run of bad results. The Lilywhites have been in excellent form of late, winning four and drawing one of their last five games to move them to within touching distance of Irvine's 54-point survival mark.
But the North End manager believes that, with six games still remaining of the season, his side must remain focussed on achieving their points tally or they will pay the price.
"For every game we don't win between now and the end of the season then the pressure builds more and more," Irvine told the club's official website. "Right at this moment we are all feeling good and we are all feeling confident but that can change very quickly.
"All it needs is a couple of disappointing results or a couple of poor performances and before you know it you are looking over your shoulder and are really worried.
"We've got ourselves in a great position because of how we've performed since January and we need to make sure that we don't think that's it, everything's done because the games soon run out and I don't want to be saying with three games to go 'we still need four points to reach that target'."
