Magilton reveals missed loan targets

Fri 28 Mar, 03:00 PM

Ipswich boss Jim Magilton has revealed he missed out on a number of loan targets this week - but he still thinks Town should make the top six.Magilton endured a frustrating week in the transfer market and missed out on the likes of Fulham's David Healy. However, the Northern Irishman is confident his side will finish in the top six.

He told the club's official website: "With Jon Walters and Bam Bam [Richard Naylor] out injured and Pablo Counago suspended we have looked at adding another experienced player to the squad for the rest of the season.

"We made several enquiries to Premier League clubs about players but there is a general reluctance from clubs to let players go.

"The deadline has gone now and we move on and it's now down to the players here to finish the job they started and I have every confidence in them achieving that."
