Us set to hand Lisbie late test

Fri 28 Mar, 01:30 PM

Colchester will hand a late fitness test to Kevin Lisbie ahead of Saturday's clash with promotion-chasing West Brom at The Hawthorns. The in-form striker suffered a calf injury during last Saturday's 5-1 defeat at Norwich but he is back in training and will be given as long as possible to prove his fitness.

Skipper Karl Duguid has also resumed training, having missed the Canaries clash with a knee-ligament injury, and faces a late check.

Chris Coyne is on the mend following a hamstring injury but the trip will probably come too soon for the defender, while Teddy Sheringham is unlikely to figure due to the foot problem which has sidelined him lately.

Defender Matt Heath (calf), midfielders Kevin Watson (calf) and Mark Yeates (shoulder) and goalkeepers Aidan Davison (shoulder) and Mark Cousins (appendicitis) are still out.
