West Brom striker Bartosz Slusarski is desperate to prove he can shine in the Championship after signing on loan at Sheffield Wednesday. The 26-year-old, a summer signing from Polish side Groclin Grodzisk, has struggled to convince Baggies manager Tony Mowbray he is worth a place in his side, but has scored regularly for the reserves.
The Poland international told the Owls' official website: "This is a really good chance for me at a big club like Sheffield Wednesday.
"I worked very hard at West Brom, but they have a lot of good strikers so I did not play much in the first team.
"But I'm sure I can score goals in the Championship and maybe on Saturday the manager here will give me the chance I am waiting for."
Slusarski will go straight into Owls manager Brian Laws' squad for this weekend's clash against leaders Stoke.
