Wright could make Cobblers clash

Fri 28 Mar, 02:15 PM

Cheltenham manager Keith Downing hopes to be able to call on Alan Wright for the visit of Northampton to Whaddon Road on Saturday. The Robins full-back missed Monday's victory over Leyton Orient with a hamstring injury but will train on Friday and could be available to face the Cobblers.

On-loan midfielder Alex Russell has suffered a hamstring problem to add to his ongoing stomach injury and he will again be sidelined.

The Robins are also certain to be without Michael Townsend (illness), Gavin Caines (knee) and John Finnigan (ankle), who remain long-term absentees.

Damien Spencer continues to battle a knee problem but the striker will again play through the pain barrier, with a place on the bench again most likely.

Andy Lindegaard came off the bench against Orient and will hope to be promoted to the starting line-up as Downing's in-form side bid to extend their unbeaten record to five games.
