Voy Por Ustedes is likely to try to return to winning ways in the John Smith's Melling Chase at Aintree on Friday.
The 2007 Queen Mother Champion Chase hero, who lost his crown to Master Minded two weeks ago, is reported to be on course to step up to two and a half miles, although he could face a rematch with his Cheltenham conqueror.
"Alan (King) is pleased with him. He's doing everything right and we will just try and recover something from the season," said Barry Simpson, racing manager to owner Sir Robert Ogden.
