Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore believes the double victories over Southend and Carlisle this season prove the quality of his Rovers side.Rovers have done the double over the two promotion-chasing sides but have fallen just short of the play-offs.

They can finish no higher than eighth in League One this term, but Moore said: "I've got nothing but praise for them.

"We've done the double over Southend who are in the play offs and the double over Carlisle who are in the play offs.

"We wanted to finish seventh but we can't because of Brighton getting a win, so let's see if we can get the eighth spot."
