Huddersfield caretaker manager Gerry Murphy admitted new boss Stan Ternent's presence badly affected the players early on against Walsall. The Terriers recovered to secure a third straight win under academy director Murphy, who took temporary charge of the side following Andy Ritchie's departure earlier this month.
Murphy said: "Perhaps we started slowly because the lads knew the manager was here watching.
"That's always in their mind a little bit and they only get one chance to make a first impression.
"The system we have been playing suits the players. We've put round pegs in round holes.
"As long as we are solid at the back we'll be OK and we've told them to get the ball out wide whenever possible. There's a lot of togetherness here."
