Port Vale manager Lee Sinnott has revealed he will let his players know "where they stand" over extensions to their contracts on Tuesday. The Valiants boss revealed he has already decided who he intends to keep as he prepares for life in League Two next season.
Sinnott told the Sentinel: "The players will have Monday off and I'll be informing the remaining players out of contract on Tuesday. I decided to stick to a time scale because we've still got games to the end of the season.
"Targets are identified, but you don't have a crystal ball and say they will be signing on such and such a date, and you need alternatives in case something falls through.
"But the business of letting people know where they stand will be concluded on Tuesday."
Youth team trio Lloyd Ransome, Jonathan Crompton and Will Brown have already been informed their deals will not be renewed.
