Swindon defender Jack Smith is yet to decide whether to put pen to paper on a new deal after not featuring as much as he would have wanted. The Robins full-back has been offered a new contract by manager Maurice Malpas but has been limited to just 24 appearances this season due to injury and the form of Miguel Comminges.
Smith insists he wants to be playing regular first-team football next term and hinted that would play a crucial role in his decision.
He told the Swindon Advertiser: "I want to be playing first-team football. That is why I came to Swindon in the first place because I was not getting that at Watford.
"Watford said I could have another year there but I probably would not play that much, so I said fine I will leave.
"I am not the best to have around when I am not playing and I know my missus hates it when I am not playing. So for her sake more than anyone else's I do want to be playing."
