Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock admits he is planning to rebuild the spine of his squad over the summer.Just as he did in his first promotion-winning spell as Pilgrims chief, Sturrock has spent six months of his second spell in charge surveying his squad.
Despite being on the verge of a top-10 finish in the Championship, Sturrock believes there is a lot of work to be done during pre-season.
"There's rebuilding work to be done in the summer," he said.
"The old backbone from when I was manager here the first time has now gone bar the two keepers so there's a lot of hard work to be done between now and the start of the next season."
Sturrock has retained keepers Luke McCormick and Romain Larrieu on new two-year contract extensions.
