A whistlestop tour around the globe, including the Netherlands where Feyenoord dressed to impress after their cup final victory.
NETHERLANDS
Feyenoord won the Dutch Cup when first-half goals by Denny Landzaat and Jonathan de Guzman secured a 2-0 victory over Roda JC Kerkrade.
Landzaat netted a Luigi Bruins cross from close range after eight minutes before De Guzman doubled the lead in the 36th minute following a neat one-two with Michael Mols.
Feyenoord allowed Roda to dominate large parts of the match but despite some long distance efforts, the Rotterdam defence were never seriously tested.
With their 11th cup win and first since 1995, Feyenoord ended a six-year spell without a trophy, the last being the UEFA Cup triumph of 2002.
The Rotterdam club proceeded to celebrate by donning white bath robes (pictured).
PORTUGAL
Sporting beat Maritimo 2-1 and champions Porto thrashed Vitoria Guimaraes 5-0 as the battle for Champions League places heated up.
With two matches left, Porto stretched their lead at the top of the standings to 23 points while Sporting and Guimaraes were level on second place on 49 points. Benfica, who beat Belenenses 2-0 at home on Saturday, are fourth one point behind.
Porto rested several key players but still romped to victory with two goals by Ricardo Quaresma and one each from Bruno Alves, Ernesto Farias and Adriano.
Maritimo went ahead in the first minute of their match at Sporting with an acrobatic volley by winger Bruno Fogaca.
Argentine midfielder Romagnoli scored for Sporting from a penalty after he was brought down by Maritimo French defender Arnolin Gregory after 19 minutes, and then clinched the three points with a looping shot over stranded Brazilian goalkeeper Marcos after 52 minutes.
RUSSIA
Runaway leaders Rubin Kazan won 2-0 at Dynamo Moscow to set a Russian record of seven straight wins to start the March-November championship and stretch their advantage to seven points.
Former Serbia striker Savo Milosevic had a hand in both goals as Georgian defender Dato Kvirkvelia and captain Sergei Semak scored to leave Rubin well clear at the top.
Lokomotiv leapfrogged Dynamo into second position on goal difference after a 0-0 home draw with Spartak Nalchik while fourth-placed Amkar Perm are a point further back.
UKRAINE
The title race appears set to go down to the wire after leaders Shakhtar Donetsk and champions Dynamo Kiev both won to continue their tussle with three matches remaining.
Two goals by Evaverson Brandao and one each by fellow Brazilian Fernandinho and Oleksandr Gladkiy handed Shakhtar a 4-2 win at Karpaty Lviv and kept them a point ahead of Dynamo.
The champions strolled to a 3-0 home success against stuggling Zorya Luhansk with goals from Artem Milevsky, Oleksandr Aliev and Artem Kravets.
ROMANIA
Champions and leaders Steaua Bucharest won 2-1 at Universitatea Craiova to capitalise on a slip by closest rivals CFR Cluj, who were held to a goalless draw at lowly Dacia Mioveni.
Colombian strikers Jose and Dayro Moreno scored either side of Andrei Prepelita's equaliser in an ill-tempered match to lift Steaua two points above Cluj with only two games left.
Each side had a player sent off for a brawl in the closing stages while police had to use tear gas to prevent home fans from ripping up seats and throwing them on to the pitch.
SERBIA
Front-runners Partizan Belgrade snatched a late 1-0 win at neighbours Cukaricki to stay three points ahead of champions and city rivals Red Star, who were 2-0 winners at Borac Cacak.
Serbia winger Zoran Tosic volleyed home his close-range effort for Partizan in the 85th minute while Nenad Jestrovic and Ecuador midfielder Segundo Castillo kept alive Red Star's hopes with second-half goals.
HUNGARY
Goals by Mate Patkai and Adam Szabo either side of halftime handed MTK Budapest a 2-0 win at city rivals Honved to keep them three points clear of champions Debrecen, who won 2-1 at second bottom Tatabanya.
Third-placed Ujpest went level on points with Debrecen after they were awarded a 3-0 win at Sopron, who were kicked out of the league in January over unpaid taxes.
CZECH REPUBLIC
Champions Sparta Prague edged closer to their 35th league title with a 0-0 draw at Bohemians Prague that stretched their lead to four points with three games left after bitter city foes Slavia suffered their second successive loss.
Slavia's title challenge, derailed by last Monday's 3-1 defeat at Teplice, took another huge blow when goals by Petr Svancara, Marcel Stastny and Zdenek Koukal condemned them to a 3-0 home rout by Viktoria Zizkov.
SLOVAKIA
Leaders Artmedia Bratislava fought back from two goals down to salvage a last-gasp 2-2 draw at Ruzomberok and go five points clear of champions MSK Zilina, who play at Kosice on Monday.
A superb Branislav Fodrek shot on the hour and an injury-time header by Kornel Salata left Artmedia on course to win their second league title.
ARGENTINA
Midfielder Diego Buonanotte scored twice to inspire River Plate to a 4-2 win over Argentinos Juniors on Sunday and keep them level with Argentine championship leaders Estudiantes.
Boca Juniors lost their unbeaten record in the competition when they were beaten 1-0 at San Lorenzo and dropped to fourth.
Buonanotte, 20 and one of Argentina's most promising players, opened his account in the 32nd minute, outfoxing his marker before scoring with a well-placed left-foot shot.
Alejandro Delorte equalised before halftime but Buonanotte put River back in front four minutes after the re-start when the 1.60 metre midfielder scored with a deflected long-range shot.
Argentinos were level again eight minutes later when Pablo Barzola converted a controversially-awarded penalty.
But River regained the lead through Uruguay striker Sebastian Abreu in the 61st minute and Colombian striker Radamel Falcao Garcia completed the scoring in injury time.
Estudiantes, who beat Rosario Central 3-1 on Friday, and River both have 27 points from 12 games and a goal difference of 11, but Estudiantes lead on goals scored.
South American champions Boca were sunk by a second-minute goal from Juan Mensequez at San Lorenzo, who took advantage as the Boca defence were caught out by a long ball upfield from Aureliano Torres.
Boca's misery was complete when midfielder Fabian Vargas was sent off in injury-time for a second bookable offence.
San Lorenzo climbed to third with 24 points, changing places with Boca who have one point less.
BRAZIL
Cruzeiro warmed up for their Libertadores Cup tie with Boca Juniors by thumping arch-rivals Atletico Mineiro 5-0 in the Belo Horizonte derby.
Cruzeiro capitalised on defensive blunders to go two goals ahead in less than 20 minutes in the first leg of the Mineiro championship final.
Bolivia striker Marcelo Martins scrambled the first following a mistake by goalkeeper Juninho and Atletico defender Marcos put through his own goal six minutes later.
Midfielder Ramires hooked the third over Juninho in the 38th minute before 19-year-old forward Guilherme and Wagner completed the rout in the second half with breakaway goals.
Cruzeiro are away to titleholders Boca Juniors of Argentina in the first leg of their Libertadores Cup third-round tie on Wednesday.
