Sheva Return Unlikely - Ancelotti

MILAN, May 28 (Serie A) - AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti believes Chelsea will not let Andriy Shevchenko leave this summer.

The Rossoneri would welcome back the Ukrainian striker with open arms, but Ancelotti is aware Shevchenko's chances of leaving the Blues are slim to none.

When asked about Sheva's possible return to the San Siro, Ancelotti said: "It only depends on Chelsea.

"They paid so much for Shevchenko last year and I don't think they will want to do without him considering that in a couple of months they will have to do without Didier Drogba, who will be playing in the African Nations Cup."

Milan were reluctant to let the player leave the San Siro in the first place, having shone for the club in his seven years as a Rossonero.

However, the player's wish to move to London, coupled with Chelsea's £30million transfer fee, forced Milan to reconsider.

The 30-year-old has been linked with a return to Italy having struggled to make an impact in his first season in the Premiership.

Shevchenko scored just four goals in 30 league appearances for Chelsea this season.
