Stockport chairman Norman Beverley is refusing to reveal whether boss Jim Gannon will be given funds to bolster his newly-promoted side.County climbed into League One after beating Rochdale 3-2 in the League Two play-off final at Wembley on Monday.

Several of their highly-rated young players have been linked with moves away from Edgeley Park but Gannon will hope to add to his existing pool of talent.

However, Beverley told PA Sport: "It's too soon to consider things like that.

"I'm not saying 'no', I'm not saying anything. Let's sit down and let's do it sensibly.

"If we have any money to spend, we're not going to waste it."
