Matt Kilgallon has urged his Sheffield United team-mates to avoid a repeat of last season's disastrous slow start to the campaign. The Blades slumped into the lower reaches of the Championship after a lousy first half of the campaign, which prompted the departure of Bryan Robson.
Kilgallon told the club's official website: "I'm already thinking about next season. We must perform all year to be fighting for promotion.
"At the beginning of the season everyone was struggling, although personally I knew I could perform at this level and I wasn't worried about comments from outsiders.
"It was a slow start, but we picked up in the final few months and in the end we finished looking like a solid team."
