Rotherham striker Chris O'Grady has joined League One outfit Oldham for an undisclosed fee, making him their third acquisition of the summer. The Latics have signed the 22-year-old to follow the acquisition of Kieran Lee and Greg Fleming from Manchester United and Gretna respectively.
O'Grady joined Rotherham from Leicester in January 2007 and was the Millers' joint top scorer last season with 11 goals - and he revealed he was quick to accept a move to Boundary Park following the ongoing financial problems at Millmoor.
He told Latics World: "Basically when Rotherham went into administration the opportunity came along to leave because we weren't being paid, and I've basically known of Oldham's interest since then.
"I could have gone to another League One club but that move wasn't right for me or my family - I was holding out for Oldham.
"I'm glad to be able to move up a level and join a big club like Oldham."
