Huddersfield's fanbase and promotion potential convinced Keigan Parker to join despite attracting interest from several other clubs. The 25-year-old Scottish striker has joined the Terriers on a free transfer after turning down a new deal at Blackpool and hopes to embark on a promotion challenge.
Parker told the club's official website: "I had a few clubs interested in me, but I met the manager last week and decided that I wanted to come here.
"There is such huge potential at this club and I want to be a part of it. It is set up for the Championship and I think we'll be a major player in League One next season, just as Swansea and Nottingham Forest have been.
"To sell 15,500 season tickets is really impressive and it's a big factor behind me coming here.
"I enjoyed my four seasons at Blackpool, but I felt it was time for a change and so I rejected a new contract there. Hopefully I can help Huddersfield achieve promotion this coming season."
