Andy Murray crushed Argentine clay court specialist Jose Acasuso in straight sets in the French Open second round.
Britain's 10th seed turned what was predicted to be a potential shock into a stroll at Roland Garros with a 6-4 6-0 6-4 victory.
Murray, who had not won at Roland Garros before this week, never took his foot off the gas against the South American and triumphed in an 98 minutes.
The Scot took the first set in 34 minutes and then reeled off the second with some exquisite groudstrokes as the world number 49 struggled with his movement at the back of the court.
Acasuso arrested a slide of seven games at the start of the third but Murray broke once more and won on his third match point to book a place in round three against Spanish 19th seed Nicolas Almagro.
The only mishap for Murray was when he accidentally hit a linesman with his racket while serving for the match. Luckily no permanent damage was done.
"It's never happened to me before where I've hit a linesman with the racket," he said.
"I was quite far back in the court, I had a little bit of space to hit into and I thought I was going to hit the passing shot.
"When I took the racket back I felt I hit him very hard. I think it was on his head or his shoulder. Obviously I couldn't control the ball because my racket was all over the place."
