Ryan Babel will not leave Liverpool this summer, according to his agent.
The Dutch winger found first-team chances limited throughout the season and has been tipped to leave Anfield.
But his representative, Winnie Haatrecht, insists that is not the case and he hopes to hold talks soon with Reds manager Rafael Benitez.
"He is not done here yet," Haatrecht told AD Sportwereld.
"I will sit down soon with Mr Benitez to evaluate the season. We haven't found time to do that yet.
"Ryan went from Ajax to Liverpool to win trophies. So far that hasn't happened. Ryan wants to leave Liverpool as a regular starter with a trophy in his pocket."
Since arriving from Ajax for £11.5 million, Babel has scored just seven Premier League goals in 57 appearances, although the majority of those have been from the bench.

babel should go wiv got everything we need
Mr Wenger, what about signing CLARKE CARLSILE from Burnley to beef up your defence. I have watched him on so many occassions and i believe he is the right man to partner Gallas. He is strong, athelete and reads the game very well.Any GUNNERS to support my idea.
Besides, we all know Liverpool came 4th the season before this..so don't act brand new!
All I'm saying is he might do better in Arsenal, since Benitez can't motivate him to do well, and I've seen a lot of Liverpoo fans saying he should go. Babel, come on over to a team that will use you well and turn you into a star...go ask Henry, he was an unknown winger before Arsene coached him.
john g...Yes 4th, with a young squad and no big name. Benitez had a well expereinced squad and we went further than Liverpool in FA, CL..we even drew Liverpoo twice! If wenger had liverpools squad, he would win.
liverpool and d misry babel, loses him lose out. help yourself liverpool
Dale A Benitez not a motivator? Babel go to Arsenal Wenger is a better motivator? Just remind me where Arsenal finished this season? i think the answer you are looking for is 4TH!!!!!!!! Liverpool 2ND!!!!!
I can see Ryan Babel were he belonged, Arsenal, Babel, you are welcome at the emirates for 8mill, Arsene will turn you into a star, Go ask Henry...i definately like to see him at the Emirates, Benitez is not the best motivator, that's why Liverpool didn't beat out Man Poo
I hope he will stay - he's good and can become great!
'with a trophy in his pocket' surely 'the ashes' is the only cup that can fit in someones pocket!
babel no bottle get rid
I must agree with boodi s. I think Babel would make a terrific striker. He's a young lad with bags of talent. It would seem that he does'nt fit in with Rafas plans though, but Rafa must be carefull. If another manager got hold of Babel and played him regularly it could turn out to be a case of the one that got away. Does anyone remember where Thierry Henry played before Wenger got hold of him? Right Wing. Wenger saw potential in him and he went on to become Arsenals top goal scorer of all time. And it must be said that Babel has got more than a few shades of Henry in him already. Pity help Liverpool if Arsenal buy him.
If Rafa gave a chance for Babel up front when Torres is away he will be a great striker, seems he couldn't adjust to the winger position and I think Rafa noticed that because the last few games he used to come off the bench replacing Torres. I'm sure he will do a good job but all he needs is time to adapt and the same goes for David N'gog who I believe will be the next David Trezaget.
he is always on the bench thats why. If he got to play regularly would be a great player
Babel plays scared. you can see it in his eyes. he's terrified the lad. he just needs some confidence and he'll be ok. but not great. the 'pool should buy Lennon for that position and use Babel as a handy sub.
Give him, any player, time to grow, it's only been a season ! Not all players can have an instant impact, some are like wine, but some just are rancid, hahahaha
babel is young has talent bla bla bla
i do not want to see that talent in the last year of his contact !
when he has the ball, we start defencing because itis standard ball lost ...
do yourself, your rap style and us fans a favor !
transfer list yourself, if rafa get another right winger you`ll be lost
why not put babel on the right? he always cuts in from the left because he cant cross with his left.although kuyt is hard working he lacks a lot of pace, let babel run the right side attack the byline and cross with his favoured right foot.we also need to buy two proven goalscorers not just one, we need to be able to rest them occassionally.
rafa also needs to be a little patient with new signings, they are not going to be instant successes, even proven players need time to adapt. example is robbie keane really that bad, no, just slow to get off the mark each season. it is pretty poor if we reaaly on one or two to score when it is supposed to be a team game. everton did well without a recocnized striker for the best part of the season as the rest of the team contributed goals. are liverpool a two man team?? hope not
HE IS HIS OWN WORST ENEMY,IF HE STAYED HERE & NOT GONE TO THE OLYMPICS AS RAFFA ASKED,THEN GOT INJURED,HE MAY HAVE HAD A DESCENT RUN IN THE TEAM,HIS CHOICE!!!
Babel is used a sub, if he started regularly he may get into rythm of pla and score more. Babel is fast and talented. As for lucas and the rest of the shi* get rid. Benitez makes some stupid signings if he carries on we may end up like Newcastle, @#$% signings no money and a poison challace to any good manager, including kevin keegan
