Lovell wants day to remember

Falkirk striker Steve Lovell is looking for something different from his second Homecoming Scottish Cup final aside from a winner's medal - a memory of the showpiece occasion.

Lovell was in the Dundee team that lost 1-0 to Rangers at Hampden in the 2003 final and he returns to the national stadium to face the Ibrox side again on Saturday.

The 28-year-old Englishman, who joined Falkirk on a free from Aberdeen last summer, is hopeful of a memorable victory this time around.

"I played in the final for Dundee - I just can't remember it that well," he told PA Sport.

"Obviously, we lost and maybe it would have been different if we had won but I'm looking to enjoy it more this time. This time, I'm going in to the day differently.

"I am going to remember everything that's happening on the journey, look at the people around me and just remember the feeling."
