Terry focused on cup

Chelsea captain John Terry insists the players are determined to give interim coach Guus Hiddink a day to remember by winning the FA Cup.

The England captain maintains the Chelsea squad are not thinking about who Hiddink's successor may be as they want to remain focused on providing the Dutchman with a victorious FA Cup send off.

Hiddink is set to quit Chelsea after Saturday's FA Cup final against Everton and return to his main role as Russia's national coach.

"We are not thinking about the new regime at all," said Terry. "We don't want to disrespect the current manager and so we are fully focused on the FA Cup.

"I am sure there may be a few chats after the game with the people upstairs, but they are the ones making the decisions. As a group of players, we get on with it and we do what we can on the pitch.

"We will get this game out the way and go away in the summer. I am sure there will be loads of speculation in the summer. For us, as players, it would be lovely to win the cup, go away and not read anything and not hear anything about Chelsea or football."

  1. cumon chelsea. Lets play a 4-4-2 and show what we can­ do. We dont need the extra midfielder in a 4-3-3­ against everton we need the extra striker as their­ defence is the strongest part of the­ team.

After finishing 3rd in­ the the Prems because of Scolari, missing out at a­ Champions League victory because of a ref who cleary­ needs get his eyes tested, the Fa cup is the last way­ to show how dominant we are.   6. up chelsea!pls. i would`t like us to panic base on fa ­ cup final against everton , becos i `ve seen everton as­ nothing to us even if they are putting on blue jessy­ but we are the original blue for live.the fa cup is­ coming to staford by sunday.
