Finland's Mikko Hirvonen completed victory in the Rally of Poland to edge into a one-point lead over Sebastien Loeb in the world championship standings.
Ford driver Hirvonen stayed out of trouble on the third day to finish one minute 10.3 seconds ahead after the final super special stage, with Spain's Dani Sordo finishing second in his Citroen.
Hirvonen's compatriot Jari-Matti Latvala had been holding second place but crashed out on the last stage.
Norwegian Solberg brothers Henning and Petter came in third and fourth respectively.
France's Loeb, who crashed his car on a tree stump on the first day of the rally, was seventh, over 19 minutes behind Hirvonen.
"It's been a fantastic rally, absolutely perfect from start to finish," Hirvonen said afterwards.
"It is the first time ever that I won two rallies in a row. Who knows, maybe I will also win the third one in Finland."
There are four rounds to go in the World Rally Championship and Loeb now has to come from behind if he is to win his sixth successive title.

#7 prodrive own aston martin. they need to move away from aircraft spec build it racks up the cost of these car
to stupid amounts. then we might get other car makers back.
go seb, beat him,he cant have so much luck all the time, show him why are u greatest of all time
rob ur talking a load of tosh, bmw and merc are not any good for rallying? think how well the 190e done in its class on all the surfaces, same goes for the 320i's they were winning races almost all the time. And how can one of the fastest motorsports be boring? sure there isn't any new manufacturers but think about it, credit crunch, tough times, would u really want to spend all that money on keeping the team going, only reason ford and citreon are still going is because they are HUGE manufacturers, ford own aston martin, land rover etc etc and citroen have peugeot as well as the citreon brand. Id personally love to see more manufacturers in the sport but just now its just not really the best time. Plus all the other big manufacturers are busy spending huge amounts of money in F1
What rally were you guys watching Dull and boring !!!! Dont think so, If you want to go and watch mk2 escorts then go and watch the historics ! I go to as many of the historic events that I can and enjoy them but to say that the wrc is boring is rubbish, its so close this year now seb has lost his cool and started to make mistakes !!! any way front wheel drive is quickest ??? no not on rallies mate rwd always was and will be the fastest.
#4 i must agree with you . it seems to be just dull with no real charge. the cars are over the top with electronics
to control every move. people will soon not show any support. and as for fwd why bother. point and squirt .
WRC = very stale and boring these days, just like Snooker.
Same boring drivers, same boring manufacturers.
William - I have told you I think b4 - thats RUBBISH - Front wheel drive is faster than rear wheel drive. Let the Turbo stay, but ditch 4wd for sure. But allow rear and front wheel drive to fight it out. Not many rear wheelers apart from BMW and Merc around these days anyway and neither are any good for rallying
keep your naff console . why cant these wrc cars make a bit more of a sound like a rally car instead of sounding like an angry wasp . inside camera makes it sound like henry the wasp.
no doubt some one will say no. dump the turbo. no 4wd . rwd only.
bring back the good old days.
Needs a hair cut does our Seb then he can see where he is going. I did say he might have a problem if it was wet. Tough shyt old fruit, next time - its still your title to lose!
