Luiz Felipe Scolari claims a number of Chelsea players did not respect him and his training methods during his ill-fated eight-month stint at Stamford Bridge.

The 60-year-old Brazilian, who is currently coaching Bunyodkor in Uzbekistan, singled out the behaviour of Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba, Germany midfielder Michael Ballack and Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech as unacceptable.

Scolari, who took over the Blues hot-seat last July and was sacked in February, told O Globo newspaper: "The real owners of football at the moment are the players. The coach, in most European clubs, has no strength to contradict them.

"The people sacked are always the coaches. The main players already know this. That was my problem at Chelsea. Drogba, Ballack and Cech did not accept my training methods or my demands."

    shut up slurms. Its not drogba responisbility to door­ not do thinkgs casue kids are watching. if a kid copies­ everything that another person does then they are­ mentally retarded. and if a kid misbahaves then it is­ the parents fault plain and simple!

    anyway who cares­ what scolari says. move on, I have! he didnt like­ drogba so didnt play him. he played cech when he hada­ problem with his eyes. he was the manager it was up to­ him to call the shots and he didnt do it properly­ obviously.

    My kids don't look up to footballers for­ their education and the culture of their intellect.­ They know before i tell them that the likes of Zidane,­ Shearer, Kaka and Drogba are not people you look up to.­ They're likely to be school failures, would likely­ have been social failures had they not had a chance in­ life using their feet.

    Good for them, better for us­ who enjoy the entertainment and can have a normal­ life.

    PS: to the dude who said Drogba has done harm­ in EPL. umm where were you the last 5 years mate?­
    Drogba is the kind of forward that belongs in the EPL.­ Strength, forward always, keen striker with both feet,­ superb headers, gave his 200% year in year out under­ different coaches... I wish other strikers had the same­ attitude in EPL. (No not Harewood or Etherington,­ they're not what i'd call strikers. Posers at­ best.)

    PSagain: Slaggin Cech off is kind of "off­ the charts" to me. You're allowed to hate­ Drogba the boy has attitude, but Cech??? you really­ have to be from ManU or I dont know...
