Luiz Felipe Scolari claims a number of Chelsea players did not respect him and his training methods during his ill-fated eight-month stint at Stamford Bridge.

The 60-year-old Brazilian, who is currently coaching Bunyodkor in Uzbekistan, singled out the behaviour of Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba, Germany midfielder Michael Ballack and Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech as unacceptable.

Scolari, who took over the Blues hot-seat last July and was sacked in February, told O Globo newspaper: "The real owners of football at the moment are the players. The coach, in most European clubs, has no strength to contradict them.

"The people sacked are always the coaches. The main players already know this. That was my problem at Chelsea. Drogba, Ballack and Cech did not accept my training methods or my demands."

Undermining the authority of match officials­ and using foul language on TV - kids look up to these­ people and aspir to become what they are- what sort of­ message are they getting from them? Arrogant prima donna 'stars' ruling­ the roost and disgracing themselves on live TV and­ managers taking the fall. I've got to agree with­ Scolari, especially about Drogba, who is effortlessly­ the worst thing about the Premiership. What does the­ future hold for Chelski? Not much until they find some­ stability!

    mourinho is a dumb @#$% as well, didnt manage his­ former employer well, he won 2 league titles his own­ way, the owner of the puppets wanted a different style­ and all he had to do was say yes sir and continue makin­ money, had same players at inter that manchini built­ and couldnt improve on the result and next season will­ even be more lonely for him im serie a. so cold out­ there jose, no more drama with SAF or wenger no mind­ games, both in comfort zones making small money and­ enjoyin coachin in the most prestigous country on­ earth... no better place to be,
